About Greg StroudGreg Stroud is currently Vice-President, Programming Integration at HGTV and DIY Network. He plays a major role in creating marketing partnerships between the networks and advertisers. Before that, he was Vice-President, Creative Services at Fine Living Network, where he was heavily involved with re-branding and re-designing the network. Prior to Fine Living, Greg played a similar role as Creative Director at The Weather Channel. Greg and his teams have won numerous creative awards, including Promax/BDAs, Addys, Tellys, and more. He has written for trade publications and is a speaker at industry events. He has spoken at Promax/BDA, PRCA and most recently at the 2015 Alabama Broadcasters Conference. He also taught advertising at The University of Tennessee and speaks regularly to classes at various colleges including The University of Alabama, Southern Mississippi and Loyola/New Orleans. He has also been an award-winning local television anchor and ad agency Creative Director.
About Julie LinkJulie Link is the Director of Research and Consumer Insights at HGTV and DIY Network, headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. She designs, analyzes and presents “voice of the viewer” projects on brand health, audience segmentation, program development and new business development. Julie began her media research career at E! Networks in New York City where she supported the networks’ advertising sales efforts. After a move south and several years in research at DIY Network, Julie established the Consumer Insights initiative at HGTV and DIY Network and began working on projects to understand how macrotrends impact the meaning of home today.
In May 2015, Link earned a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications at West Virginia University to augment her undergraduate degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University. She is an adjunct instructor for WVU’s IMC 612 Audience Insight course.
