About Krista Farley Raines

Krista Farley Raines is the Regional Communications and Marketing Officer for the American Red Cross responsible for strengthening, growing, and carrying out the communications functions for the West Virginia Region of the American Red Cross with a focus on three areas: media relations, social media and Disaster Public Affairs and works to raise the visibility of the Red Cross to help communities understand how to access Red Cross services, support fundraising activities and support the mission of the organization across all lines of service. Krista previously served as the Public Information Officer for the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department, Executive Director for West Virginia on the Move, Program Specialist for the West Virginia University Center for Excellence in Disabilities and Program Manager for the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health. She received her Bachelor degree in Sociology, Anthropology and Communications from West Virginia University and her Masters of Science degree in Community Health Promotion from West Virginia University School of Medicine. Krista also serves on various community boards and committees.
