Misc. Facts – Mother of a very smart and amazing 12 year old son, the pride of my heart and always my inspiration.
Capstone Experience – When I began the IMC program, I was very unsure of myself and there were many times that I debated giving up. At one point, I even considered changing programs because I felt that I was struggling and that I was not going to be able to live up to the potential of the program. By the time I got to the Capstone, I was more experienced but I was still very nervous and unsure of myself. My instructor, Dr. Angell was very informative and very helpful throughout the whole project. She was very understanding and the feedback that she provided was extremely useful. When I received my first feedback, it was as if the light bulb finally came on and I felt that I was going in the right direction. Dr. Angell made some comments that really kept me focused and kept me going strong. I realized when I finished that I had learned more than I had realized and that the program really inspired me to WANT to be a part of the marketing world. The Capstone project filled me with understanding and helped me achieve more than receiving a degree, but it helped me to feel confident in something that has consumed so much of my life. I want everyone who reads this to know that sometimes life is a struggle and that we have to go through obstacles but if you can just keep your head up then you can make it to the end…nothing can stop you from reaching the finish line! Be patient and take feedback positively…don’t let your fear or frustrations keep you from going on, and most importantly, don’t give up :) The Capstone was an experience of a lifetime and I am proud to have finished the IMC program at WVU!
