Cory Brown

Teaches IMC 612 - Political Marketing

Cory Brown is vice president of data and strategy for Cygnal, a data-driven, results-oriented communication, digital and research firm. Cygnal provides polling, data management, messaging, digital advertising and integrated communications for candidates, associations, IEs and business to business (B2B) firms.

Brown served his country in the U.S. Army both stateside and overseas in reconnaissance and combat engineer units. Making a difference in government and politics is important to Brown, and he transitioned from full-time military service to earn his master’s degree at the GW’s Graduate School of Political Management. Before joining Cygnal, Brown worked and managed campaigns at the local and state level.

Brown lives in northern Virginia with his wife and two beautiful daughters. He is an adjunct professor at The George Washington University and West Virginia University where he teaches classes on audience research and political marketing. He spends his free time exploring the outdoors, enjoying craft beer, watching sports and cheering on his beloved Auburn Tigers.
