Teaches IMC 619 - Emerging Media & the Market
Marisa Peacock is currently an adjunct professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art and an adjunct instructor for the West Virginia University integrated marketing communications (IMC) program. Peacock teaches Emerging Media and the Market – IMC 619. Along with her teaching experience, she is principal and chief strategist for the Strategic Peacock. As a social business strategist and marketing consultant, Peacock helps organizations create and implement online strategies that appropriately target the right audience with the right information using the right media.
Peacock received her Master of Arts in Liberal Studies in American Studies at Georgetown University and her undergraduate degree in psychology from Mount Holyoke College. She serves on the board of New Endeavors By Women, a residential program for homeless women in Washington, D.C., and the communications committee of the Alumnae Association of Mount Holyoke College. Peacock has presented at several marketing and media conferences, including LavaCon, Luxury Travel Exchange, Association of Coupon Professionals, J. Boye, SocialSlam and Gilbane Boston. Peacock lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her partner Paul and their pit bull Sampson.
