Graduate Certificate Programs

WVU offers seven graduate certificates in either general Integrated Marketing Communications or a specialization that aligns with the Areas of Emphasis offered in the full IMC degree program. The certificate programs are 15 credits (5 courses) and can be started in the early fall, early spring or summer session. Certificate-seeking students take the prerequisite course, IMC 610 - Introduction to IMC, followed by (in any order) the four electives associated with their chosen area of emphasis:

The specialized certificates are a perfect way for IMC alumni to continue their education and stay on top of the latest marketing communications trends. Students who've already completed IMC 610 can replace those credits with any other course to earn their graduate certificate.

The certificates are non-degree-seeking and do not qualify for financial aid. However, students can switch to the IMC master's degree program at any point and apply for financial aid at that time. Any courses taken toward the certificate program count toward the IMC master's degree.
