IMC Certificate

The 15-credit IMC graduate certificate provides students with a broad overview of IMC, focusing on several integral aspects of the discipline. Students working toward their IMC certificate take one course per term for one calendar year (five sessions) and can begin coursework in either the Early Fall, Early Spring or summer sessions. Certificate-seeking students take the prerequisite course, Introduction to IMC , followed by (in any order) two core courses and two electives.

The program’s academic year consists of five, eight-week terms:

  • Early Fall (Aug. – Oct.)
  • Late Fall (Oct. – Dec.)
  • Early Spring (Jan. – March)
  • Late Spring (March – May)
  • Summer (May – July)
Requirements for earning the IMC certificate include successful completion of the following:
Required Prerequisite: IMC 610 is offered only in early fall, early spring and summer.

Core and/or Specialty Courses (select two): 

The core and specialty courses (IMC 611, 612, 613, & 619) are offered every term.

Electives (select two): 

*Elective options are based on availability; other electives may be substituted based on current course offerings.
