Misc. Facts – Social media is my passion. I work at WebpageFX, a full-service internet marketing agency (and the Best Place to Work in PA!) in Harrisburg as a social media manager. I love that in my position I can innovate the way businesses are communicating with consumers and drive real-time results for our clients. The IMC program gave me an even deeper knowledge of how social media and other marketing channels complement and support one another, allowing me to become a more comprehensive marketer.

 In my free time I love traveling, going to concerts and spending time with my jackchi Mozzie.

Capstone Experience – Although I loved many of the classes in this graduate program, Capstone was my absolute favorite class. There is no real substitute for hands-on, real-life work experience and that’s exactly what Capstone is. It was refreshing to take bits and pieces of information I learned throughout the program and integrated them all into one cohesive campaign to help a real client.

If you are just starting the program or are enrolled in Capstone now, my number one tip is to stay organized. I utilized the Basecamp project management system and outlined all of my tasks each week and kept all hard deadlines and important events on my project calendar. This kept me on track – I never once slipped behind and I finished up the project a week early. Additionally, explore different types of layouts and graphic design tools. I used Canva (Free!) for all of my creative assets and I love how they turned out!

The one thing I appreciated most about this course was my instructor, Professor Dub. He was an incredible resource. His thorough, detailed feedback made me want to improve my work over and over again. Without his guidance, the final project would have never been possible!
