IMC 636 Capstone Project

Completion Date – Summer 2017

Client – Contiki

Residence – I was born and raised in Bergen County, NJ, but recently relocated to Connecticut.

Undergraduate Degree – B.A. in Hospitality Management, Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island

Misc. Facts – A few years ago, I stumbled upon a quote, “The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life.”  Jessica Hisch said it, and although, I didn’t know who she was, it stuck with me. When I was younger I would spend hours editing photos – a little bit of contrast and a quote can go a long way.  Despite my creative hobby, I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.  I changed my major several times during undergrad, before eventually sticking with hospitality.  It wasn’t until one-year post grad, in the private club industry, that I found my niche in marketing communications.  Today, with the help of the IMC program and my professional experiences, I am fortunate enough to build on the “creative hobby” I had all along.

Capstone Experience – Going into this final course, I didn’t know what to expect.  After reading posts similar to this one, I was both nervous and excited.  Nervous for the work load yet to come, but excited to put everything I had learned into one final campaign.  In just 8 short weeks, Capstone proved to be a testament to the entire IMC program.  It was rigorous, it was time consuming, it was challenging and it was rewarding.  Time management is essential, but if you’ve made it this far, you already know that!
