WVU IMC Partners with DINFOS

The Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) graduate program at West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media is excited to partner with the U.S. Defense Information School (DINFOS) to offer their students their students an application fee waiver, preferential admission to the IMC program and a GRE/GMAT waiver.

The IMC Program is currently implementing a process with the Office of the University Registrar to grant Independent Study credits for DINFOS courses. Those Independent Study credits may be used as substitute credit to waive elective requirements within the IMC program.  The IMC program is currently accepting the following courses:

  • JIPAC - Joint Intermediate Public Affairs Course – 6 credits

Accepted as substitute for IMC 638: Public Affairs and IMC 621: Special Topics in IMC

  •  CMC - Content Management Course – 3 credits

Accepted as substitute for IMC 621: Special Topics in IMC

  •  AEJC – Advanced Electronic Journalism Course – 6 credits

Accepted as substitute for IMC 643: Digital Video Production and IMC 634: Digital Storytelling

We hope to offer more equivalencies for DINFOS courses in the future. If you have DINFOS courses that you would like to count towards your IMC Degree but are not listed here, please contact Amber Novatony at 304-293-8683 or amber.novotny@mail.wvu.edu for more details.
